Hello, all international students.

I’d like to introduce a voluntary activity for all international students and Korean buddies for this spring semester. 

This activity is educational voluntary service conducted by Gyeong-buk Education Office for Korean elementary, middle, and high school students to understand your culture well. 

If anyone who are interested in having good experience and want to share your own culture, apply for this activity! Be an ambassador of your country!

However if you are a new exchange student for this year, you don’t need to give this application. I already got an applying e-mail 

2016 Global Understanding Education Program (Voluntary Activity)

□ Overview

● Period : Spring semester (April. ~ July.)

● Eligibility

 - Foreign students in kit

 - Students who like to share culture

- Students who speak English or Korean

● Service hour : On fridays, different hours (depend on school schedule) 

● Support : support some expenses for this activity( Approx. 30,000~70,000￦/once)

● Area : Gumi, Kimcheon, Chil-gok area

● Team : 2 students(Foreign and Korean students) in 1 team

● Contents 

 - Prepare a presentation about your country or culture you want to introduce 

 - Bring some materials like costumes, food,.. that students can experience

 - not just being knowledgeable, make a class active!

안녕하세요 

2016학년도 1학기 외국인초청 세계이해교육 프로그램(봉사활동)을 소개하고자 합니다. 

경상북도교육청에서 실시하는 이 프로그램은 경상북도 내 초등학교, 중학교, 고등학교 학생들을 대상으로 하여 우리 금오공대 외국인학생들이 자국의 문화, 음식, 예절 등을 교육하는 내용입니다.

프로그램에 참여하게 되면 학기가 끝난 후 경상북도교육청에서 발급해 주는 수료증을 받게 되고 활동 도중에는 소정의 활동비를 받을 수 있으며 한국인 친구를 사귈 수 있는 기회도 얻을 수 있습니다. 

한국인친구 1명, 외국인 친구 1명이 1팀을 이루어 학교를 방문하여 학생들에게 자국에 대한 재밌는 내용을 수업해주시면 됩니다. 

한국에서 좋은 경험을 쌓고 자신의 문화를 공유하고 싶은 금오공대 외국인 학생이라면 아래 내용 참고하여 꼭 신청하시기 바랍니다. 

2016 외국인초청 세계이해교육 프로그램

● 기간 : 2016년 1학기(4월~7월)

● 자격 : 금오공대 외국인 학생(영어 또는 한국어 가능자)

● 활동비 : 1회 활동 시 약 30,000원~70,000원 활동비 지급

● 지역 : 구미, 김천, 칠곡 지역

● 팀 : 2인1팀(외국인1명, 한국인1명)
